History

We were formed from a meeting that took place on February 26, 1988 at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Fifteen good friends gathered, of which eleven would eventually become our Founding Fathers. These friends called themselves Nacos — a sometimes derisive term, but at its heart referring to those who give unselfishly and are friendly to all.

The Epsilon Chapter of Nu Alpha Kappa Fraternity was established on November 22nd 1992. This Chapter has come a long way, starting from 9 Founding Fathers to 181 brothers being part of this large family. NAK’s from this chapter have been actively involved in the activities that take place in the Fresno State campus and at the same time also have been giving back to the local community through our various community services.

Our major activities include our Philanthropy event, The bone marrow registration drive where we register students to the National Marrow Donor Program. Apart from that we also conduct our Annual NAKland event, which is a free carnival for the kids. As a Professional organization, all the members of this fraternity strive to be the Alpha male that the society wants us to be. We also are proud to have a registered NAK Alumni Association

Being from the Red zone, and as an old school chapter, we are more commonly known as the ‘RED ARMY’.
